Basic requirements
• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience. • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. • 4 years of demonstrated work experience in Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Science, Human Systems Integration, or a related field. • Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to influence and inspire teams. • Comprehensive and advanced knowledge of human factors principles, tools, techniques, standards, and capabilities. • Experience applying human factors principles to project/change efforts and ability to assess results. • A commitment to advancing human-centered design principles and practices in all aspects of the production lifecycle. • Solid understanding of usability standards. • Ability to communicate effectively in visual, written and interactive form: design documents, flow charts, prototypes, etc. • Desire to deal with business and manufacturing process issues, thinking beyond design. • Desire to learn through thoughtful experimentation.
